My {SCRAP} Space is ready for 2010...

HOw about you, I can feel it will be a busy year ahead...

So, I decided it was time to gte my space all tidy and ready to take on 2010 and all it offers.

Seeing, that I do not have my very own room, where I can close the door and just leave things as they are. I thought let me add another table and move things around.

This was I also create a little area where Amy can do her creative thing, if she feels like.

This is the BEFORE PHOTOS...

These are the AFTER PHOTOS...

Do I look motivated or what!!!

Christmas has come & gone...

I feel quite happy that it is all over...way too stressful, making sure everything runs smoothly!

Morning started bright and early for me with Chloe waking me up at 5h45, I told her, do you think Father Christmas has come, then she runs off to Amy's room saying..."wakey, wakey, Amy, wakey, wakey", too sweet...

Murray and I grab the camera and video and head downstairs to see if Santa had come. Too the girls surprise, Santa and the reindeer's had left footprints behind, eaten the carrots, milk and cookies.

The fun started with opening of their presents, just seeing their little faces light up as they opened their gifts made it all worthwhile.

We then headed off to Murray's folks for Christmas lunch and more presents...

It was a great day, now to relax until New Years eve...

Hope you all had a good one and got spoilt!!!

Our Week Away

In Joburg, was filled with lots of fun things to do...

Left around 4am on Wednesday the 16th, arrived safely at Pam's house, was so great to see her again and catch up...

Amy fell in love with these 2 sweet souls...Roxy & Jimmy.

A visit to Lory Park, which we found to be well kept and looked after, nothing like our PMB Zoo...

Friday we spent at Sun City's Valley of the Waves, Amy totally loved going down the super slides, which I thought she might be scared of them...but alas, no, very proud of you sweetheart, looks like you might like all the adrenaline things like Mom!!!

Thursday, we visit Leona, was nice to catch up again with her family, and meet her granddaughter, who is so cute! Then after that, we headed out to Emperors Palace for dinner at Col'Cacchio and then a walk around the Garden of Lights, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed!!!

We celebrated Rachel's 12th birthday on the Saturday, the kids had a great time in and out of the pool, thank goodness it was great weather. Then in the early evening, Amanda came over for a braai with us, hey GF...it was great to catch up with you again...

Just a change of topic, on the Saturday morning we get a phone call from Blue Security, saying there is an all zones activation at our home. We tell them we are in Joburg to go see if everything is ok, finally we get a call from them saying there does nto seem to be a break in at all. They phone back during the braai and say the alarms have gone off again and it seems they have gotten in through the windows on the garage side, so they said they would post a guard on duty till we got home. M and I automatically think, oh no, they have got through to our den area where all the computers are etc...so, you can imagine what was going through our minds, no more computers left...all my digital photos gone of the girls years...finally we make the decision to drive back that evening. Rather to get back early before we come home to an empty house (we where due to leave early Sunday, anyways). The drive back was cool and relaxed, as the girls slept all the way home. Although a lot of trucks on route. We came across a very bad accident, a truck had rolled and taken both lanes across the highway and taken out about 8 cars too, if we were driving a little faster, it would have been us involved in it too...clearly it was not our time to go, thank goodness!

We finally arrive home, M takes a walk around the house to see that nothing got broken into and there is no damage to our home. So, when Blue came to pick up their guard M asks where did he see that they had broken into, he shows us the garage windows, which are not attached to the house and had no burglar guards anyways...

We felt very relieved to find our home still one piece and everything in it's place.

Later on the Sunday evening, while watching a movie, we get a phone call from Blue, saying our alarm has just gone off again, which we in turn say, it cannot be so as we are sitting here at home and nothing has been armed yet...

This saga kept going on and off this whole week, so I really feel sorry for the poor family who returns home to find their home has been robbed blind, as it seems someone's else home could have been zoned on our frequency. I hope the technical dept gets it sorted out soon!!!

All in all, we had a great week at Pam and her family, THANK YOU for a wonderful time it was wonderful to spend some time with you and the kids again...

So Much Happening

With the girls finishing off school next week...

Chloe had her Christmas ring on Wednesday, which was very sweet, she managed to stay seated for most of the time and really tried to impress us with her instruments and singing.

Then Friday night, was Amy's turn and seeing it is her last year at Cowies Hill Pre-Primary. They bought on a beautiful concert show for the parents. My sweet girl had 2 parts to play, one of the angels in scene 1 with a few lines to say and a leopard in Scene 2.

They both made us so proud, that my heart ached...

Saturday, I attended a awesome CROP with my GFs, Venessa as our teacher, I really love her stuff, will upload once I have completed mine...

Today, being such a beautiful sunny day, after a week of rain, was spent at Murray's folks outside just enjoying the sunshine.

For a little on the creative side...

I managed to do this LO for a sketch challenge over at SD4U, which won me 1st place and also LO of the Week on their site, was pleased with myself.

This was the sketch

My LO - Jobe (pics of my sweet nephew)

Pebbles Inc project, had to layer punches for tip.

My challenge LO over at Scrappin Mojo this weekend for their Crop.

Just a few extra LOs to share...

We trimmed our tree today, starting to look like Christmas here...the girls had fun!!! Chloe kept hanging about 5/6 baubles on one tree stem and could not understand why they kept fallen off.

Still a few things to add to the final touches...

Enjoy what is left of your weekend!
