Jacqui and I are catching the early flight out of Durban to Joburg this morning...

For a Girls weekend of pure SCRAPBOOKING fun at the EMPERORS PALACE.

These are the teachers that will be there...look forward to coming back home with new techniques and great new product!!!

So, I guess I will see you on my return, with all the highlights and news of our weekend.

Amy School ~~Update~~

We had such a hard decision to make yesterday...Our Amy got accepted for Grade 1 she will be 6 in Jan '10....so we where super excited, but then when I spoke to her current teacher, she said that academically she is bright and very ready and will do very well, but socially and emotionally she does not think she is ready...so I think we will be putting her into Grade 0 rather...I think it is the right decision, so that she can mature a bit more...!!!

Do you think it the right thing to do...? Would love some feedback please...

Amy {School} Update

We had an early start this morning, as it was Amy's assessment at Atholl Heights. Today, would decide whether she would go to Grade 0 or Grade 1...

After everyone arrived, all the parents and kids where shown into the Teacher's Lounge. I have to tell you that this lounge is equipped with all the trimmings, very, very fancy!

The kids where then divided into 3 smaller groups and went off into the distance to the various classrooms to be assessed.

This took about an hour, luckily there were yummy treats and drinks to keep our tummy full. While Chloe entertained herself with the school's cat, who loved every minute of it...

Later today, we got the phone call, telling us that Amy did exceptionally well and is very ready for Grade 1.

So there you have it...my BIG girl starts proper school in January with a uniform and all.

Amy, we are very proud of you...and love you lots!!!

Pebbles Inc Update

On another note, please send prayers for big girl, Amy, she is going into hospital tomorrow to have her tonsils and adenoids removed...so that is where I will be tomorrow most of the day!
