Looks like our FAB CK MAG is in trouble, and it makes me mad....As hubby renewed my subs for a year in December, hope I get them all, before anything major happens.

Let's be positive that they can pull through...I hope!

All I can say is that Ellie was the same age as my daughter, Amy and I don't know how I would feel, if something ever happened to her.

I held my girls very tightly tonight before their bedtime, just to let them know how much I love them.

On a {VERY}, sad note

A friend of mine, Niki who I met through Scrapbooking from the US..lost her oldest daughter today, Ellie Rose Willaert.

Here is her story...

On Tuesday April 29th, 2008, our daughter Ellie was diagnosed with a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG); an incredibly aggressive and inoperable tumor in her brain stem. There is no known cure for this rare tumor and only a 10% survival rate.

Then this was posted today...

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2009 12:15 AM, CST

Our sweet Ellie Rose left this earth tonight at 9:15pm to go home to Jesus. She was surrounded by family and friends and so many who loved her. She raised her right hand to Heaven and I could feel God reach down and carry her safely to His kingdom, where I am confident that she was greeted by many fellow angels. She passed peacefully, while lying between her mama and dada. We love you, sweet little Ellena ~ you will be forever 5, forever whole and forever in our hearts until we meet again.

Niki, this is for you...

Dear Mommy,

Please don't be so sad,

Friday the 13th

Do you consider it a lucky day for you or not?

I guess this year it is a lucky day for me, as I won a prize over at the 2CroppinCousinz before they closed down their site...you can see my name up in lights here...

Then, I signed up for a 3 month Sister Swap over at Scrapbook.Com and here is my first goody bag I got...loving all that bling!

I am also part of a Queen of the Month swap too, where each month they choose one person that we have to spoil. It is very hard to get into this swap, so I was glad when she gave me the nod...cannot wait till it's my month, for spoiling, should be fun.

Feeling Better & Prizes Arrived...

Just thought I would check in and say hello to you all...

I can safely say, that I am mending pretty well, the muscles inside are still very tender when I get up and down from lying or sleeping, but I think and hope that the worst is over.

I have so been wanting to scrap, but have had no energy to do anything, but I think it is slowly coming back to me...at last!

On another happy note to cheer me up, I got my prize in the mail for Member of the Month over at Scrap Friendzy...which Murray happily collected for me from the PO.


Also my extra from goodies from Label Tulip, for sending me the wrong prize last year...


Just love those papers and embellishments, that I created a LO for one of my DT calls, which I hope will bring me some luck.


Off to relax with the family and do very little, I hope!

Weekend Update

*** SORRY SO LATE, but I have been in hospital ***

It was Amy's Prince & Princess party on Saturday (24/1) at Duck & Deck Animal Farm. The lady who I booked to make the cake, phoned to cancel and it was too late to phone anybody else. I phoned my Mom and told her that between the two of us we had to produce a cake of some sort.

My folks arrived Friday night. That evening my Mom and I made the chocolate sponge cake and thanks to Jacqui who emailed me a picture and recipe of how to make a Castle cake, we pulled it off okay, I think. THANKS, to my Mom who did the most part, I really appreciate it!!!

Weather looked gloomy on Saturday, but it managed to hold out until everyone had left.

The kids had great fun, feeding the animals; going for horse rides; running; playing everywhere and stuffing their cute little faces.

I just want to thank all of you who came to make her day special, she was thrilled to see you all there.

Gory Photo Post

Yesterday, was my check up with the Doc and also to have my staples removed. This is the first time I can say I have seen my op up close and personal, so to speak.

Murray managed to snap this pic before Doc removed my staples...now as if that is not a big enough cut, then I don't know...hope it is below my bikini line...LOL The redness that you can see was the plaster /dressing that was covering the wound...


Hope this does not make you faint, but I thought it worth it to document.
