Scrap Weekend's Highlights

Seeing that we are not allowed to show photos of our kits or projects from the Scrapbook Convention weekend, I decided I will post it in 2 parts...

First being, all about our wonderful hotel, that Jacqui and I could not stop laughing about, as you will see in the photos below.

Our day started early on Friday with a flight to Joburg and catching the hotel bus to Emperors Palace. It was still way too early to check in yet, so the concierge kept our luggage while we set off to the casino area to go and grab a late breakfast/lunch. After Jacqui and I had decided we would go watch a nice chick flick, only to discover that the new movie house opens in December, how unfortunate for us.

So will milled around the casino, bought our gifts early for the kids (one less thing to worry about later, and more money to spend)...lol

We decided to try lady luck on the machines, spent a whole R20.00 that got gobbled in no seconds at all (not a huge gambler you see, more like Jacqui putting on the breaks for me)...THANKS!!!

Then we strolled back to our hotel to see if we could check in a little early and lucky for us there was a room.

On arrival in our room, I looked for the bathroom, but only to find it divided off from our sleeping area buy a curtain on tracks (very much like those in the hospitals). The room itself was beautiful and very minimalistic.

At least the bed was so comfy, with nice soft pillows and warm duvets. All made from percale, made for easy sleeping at night.

Later that afternoon, we registered for the convention and did a spot of Scrapbook shopping...there where so many nice things to buy!!!

Later that evening we met up with a good friend of mine, Pam at the Col'Cacchio for dinner...all I can say the  food is too die for. Wish we had one in Durban.

Needless to say the bathrooms was the hot topic for the weekend...still laugh about it when I think about it.

Off course, cannot go away without my lovely pink slippers, new from Woolies...

Part 2 to follow real soon...
