On a {VERY}, sad note

A friend of mine, Niki who I met through Scrapbooking from the US..lost her oldest daughter today, Ellie Rose Willaert.

Here is her story...

On Tuesday April 29th, 2008, our daughter Ellie was diagnosed with a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG); an incredibly aggressive and inoperable tumor in her brain stem. There is no known cure for this rare tumor and only a 10% survival rate.

Then this was posted today...

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2009 12:15 AM, CST

Our sweet Ellie Rose left this earth tonight at 9:15pm to go home to Jesus. She was surrounded by family and friends and so many who loved her. She raised her right hand to Heaven and I could feel God reach down and carry her safely to His kingdom, where I am confident that she was greeted by many fellow angels. She passed peacefully, while lying between her mama and dada. We love you, sweet little Ellena ~ you will be forever 5, forever whole and forever in our hearts until we meet again.

Niki, this is for you...

Dear Mommy,

Please don't be so sad,
I miss you so much, too.
It's beautiful here where I am
But I worry a lot about you.

I sleep with angels watching me,
There's only love up here...
I'm never lonely or afraid,
'Cause God's so very near.

I walk with Jesus every day
He's very kind and sweet.
Don't worry mom; He holds my hand
When we cross a golden street.

I never cry or hurt myself
I see You everyday...
I play and laugh and sing a lot
And I hear you when you pray.

Please mommy, don't be mad at God
You see, He loves me too,
And even though you're not with me
I'm really still with you.

I just want to send prayers your way over this very trying time. I know that in time you will find an inner peace.

God Bless you all and you are in my thoughts.

  3. Oh Sophia this is a sad day.
I am doing a donation and card drive if you want to help spread the word.
For the family them self. Not the Caring Bridge company but the actual Willeart family.
