Weekend Update

So, I thought it about time to fill you in on what we did last weekend...sorry about the delay, bee trying to get the video done, finally.

Bearing in mind it was the TUCSON first longish trip...and she drove like a dream.

Took the Friday off, and we drove up early. On route we stopped off at the Bierfassel for lunch. Murray has his usual, Eisbein, which did look delicious and I had the Pork Schnitzel, too die for is all I can say. Amy played on kiddos playgrounds for a while. Then we carried on our journey...at Mooi River turnoff, stopped at the fav BILTONG shop, to get our much needed stock for the weekend nibbles.

After a short drive finally arrived at Sierra Ranch, this time there was no down pour of rain...thank goodness!

Checked in and unpacked and went downstairs to relax on the veranda. Our friends, Peter, Merinka and their son Tyrone joined us later that afternoon.

We decided to get a babysitter for the night for Chloe, so that we could enjoy dinner and relax, it felt divine to just chill out.

Saturday, we spent it outdoors to various fun activities. Kids had pony rides; played mini putt-putt; swam in the pool; amongst all the eating and drinking that was done too.

As it was HALLOWEEN, the kids had to meet all dressed up in the reception area to go TRICK or TREAT...Amy and Tyrone looked rather sweet, Amy said she was a witch cat, if you know what I mean...

They went around the ranch collecting candy. the adults on the balcony were throwing candy over and Amy said it was raining sweets, I must say it sure was, as her little basket was filled to the brim...she did not eat too many of them, thank goodness. Instead she gave it to our maid on Monday.

At dinner time we got the same babysitter in and enjoyed our dinner in a relaxed mode again.

Sunday, the 2 men went Quad Biking for an hour and loved it, Merinka and I relaxed in the lounge with the kids playing around.

I totally recommend this place for adults with children, there is just so much to keep them busy there, and you feel like you can just sit back and chill....we sure did!!!

Some random pics Murray took of us...and a video montage, enjoy!

So, that was our weekend in a nutshell.
