Time for some news here

As the saying goes..."Life does get the better of us..."

Things have been so hectic at work and the home front.

Last Friday, Tracy invited herself again for an all-nighter, and she brought her friend Belma along...OMG, I never laughed as hard as we did that night, almost peed myself. We finished a bottle of Apple Sours between the 3 of us...every hour we had to toast something...as for the scrapping I think I finished 1 or so LOs...lol

Saturday night Murray took the girls to his folks, as we had Nick's 40th party to go to. It was great fun, even got Murray on the dance floor, know that is saying something.

Nick, birthday boy...

Melanie and I...chilling.

Just the 2 of us, having fun...

Sunday morning got a phone call from Murray's folks saying Chloe did not have a great night and they were dropping them back home.

We spent that night and Monday trying to break fevers etc...she was just not herself. Then around 4am on Tuesday morning we took her to the hospital (to the doctor on standby). He checked her out and found her right ear to be severely infected and inflamed, so that explains the restless sleep routine. He prescribed some antibiotics, which we started that very same morning.

Now, to top that all off, she develops what I thought to be a heat rash on Wednesday, only to find out once I make the call to the receptionist at the Pead's rooms...wait for it, that she has baby measles (of all things), please, not now!!! So we just have to wait and sit it out for the long haul...
On the creative side...I have uploaded my DT work for MMFY for the month of October. Really different types of papers, but I guess they turned out okay.

A card I made for a challenge on this site.

My folks got back from their 6 weeks stint in Mauritius yesterday, and they seemed to have an awesome time...they are even talking about maybe July next year again, told Murray I would like for all of us to go too, so we will see what the year ahead has in store for us...an ISLAND HOLIDAY sure sounds wonderful!

Off to try and create some more, while the kids are sleeping...

  1. Missed you on the blog front... now I know why. I remember when Aaron had baby measles... most contageous BEFORE the spots... and so you don't even know they've got it. Things should look up from here on.

  4. Hey Sophs

This too shall pass .... never were there wiser words, Chick ... a week from now some other form of excitement will replace the baby measles.

I also had a jol last Friday night - I love the girly laughing ... very little else provides more therapy ...

And you did a great job with those nasty horsey papers ...

    Love, Tracy
