40TH PINK PARTY

Well, yesterday was out of this world...with so much PINK going on. This was just how I wanted to spend my 40th birthday, thanks to all you ladies for making it a very special day I will never forget!

I was not allowed to enter the classroom area until they had finished setting up and this is what they had done. Thanks, ladies for all the extra trouble you went to, I really appreciate each and every minute of that day, you are all special to me.

Thanks Jenny and Kim for painting this, it is beautiful.

My beautiful name banner Tracy made, which will one day reside in my very own Scraproom. It is so beautiful...I love it!!!

Cake slices Tracy also made with chocolates inside...beautiful.

My good friend since we were children, Denise.

Morning started at about 9am with all us downing a shooter (Apple Sours), Gran (Jenny's Mom) drank hers before all of us got a chance to toast...so, needless to say she had another.

Then our teacher Venessa got us started on the first LO, with blues and browns. I used some photos of Amy in the Berg, which I printed in sepia to go with the colour tones.

Venessa the Teacher.

Tracy, the very clever girl who designs beautiful things...

Gail, a good friend, who I used to teach scrapbooking.

Jenny, my boss at work..having fun.

Gran (Jen's Mom), Kim & Jenny (sisters) and Ellie, all very dear friends to me.

Just before lunch, Tracy gave a us a make-and-take demo on how to make our own pattern paper with stencils, which we did a small sample on a bookmark, will upload at a later post, when it is dry and complete.

After that, we all headed for lunch which consisted of this below...

Cosmopolitan Cocktails
Avocado Prawn Ritz
Chicken a la King
Pavlova and Strawberries

Then it time for our second LO. This one was so pretty with butterflies, glitter and flowers, just right for a little girl...loved it Venessa, just my cup of tea.

Venessa specially designed these 2 new LOs for my birthday, so I feel really privileged!!!

Half way into our second LO, we broke for tea and cakes and a mini photo shoot, as you can see in the photos below. Yes I did make all those pretty cupcakes, just in case you thought I bought them..."I can bake you know".

And boy, did I get spoilt...here are my gifts I got. Thanks ladies, I love it all...

This was a day well spent with wonderful and very dear friends, which will be remembered for many years ahead.

Will post my LOs once I have finally completed them, just got the finishing touches to do...please be patient.
