Last week & this weeks happenings...

Sorry, that I have bee neglecting my {BLOG} reader fans. This should hopefully make up for all the slacking lately.

Last Saturday, was a wonderful day spent at Desire's Scrap Day at Makaranga Lodge in Kloof. This time round, I was not da teacher nor da helper, but da participant. Which was nice to just sit back, relax and scrap all day long, it has been a while, and it was great fun to just let my mind wonder and enjoy every minute of it...

Morning started with registration and the smell of coffee with delicious muffins, but yours truly was good, and had coffee only. Yes, I am trying my best to stick to my diet.

Then it was time to get stuck into our morning class. Which consisted of our photos being cut out as per a template that was given to us. I chose photos of Amy and I at the beach early this year, which Murray had taken.

My interpretation of the LO below.

After Desire managed to get all of us together for a group photo shoot, go to her blog to see. We all moved on to lunch, which we opted to sit out on the patio for ours, as it was such a beautiful day out, and the scenery was to die for. Lunch was also very tasty...

How is this for something funny, or more like "Oh what a small world it is". I bumped into an old school friend "Tish Pereira" from high school, its been like 20 odd years or so, still cannot believe. Tish is was great to catch up with you and spend some time at lunch together and reminisce.

For the second half of the afternoon and onto our second class, which consisted of photos and matting etc to all be corner rounded.

My LO below.

With the help of my friend Gail who was my driver too, I managed to capture these shots at Makaranga Lodge. We even got a whole tour of their new Spa, hope I can get me some time out there this year.

All in all, it was a great day chatting with old friends; scrapping my heart out; doing what I love and what I am passionate about!

- more posts to come.

  1. Hi. I must say it is nice to see how different everyone's layouts turned out, although it was all the same designs and papers. Glad you agree that Makaranga is a stunning venue for scrapping. Was great to have all the ex pick-of-the-crop girls enjoying the day with me. Your friend. Desire
